Hi, I need some help with Pathalias, i've got it working but i've come across a problem, i had to edit some of the maps to get a decent paths file. is there a simple way of doing this? without editing the maps everytime they come in? i suppose what i need is a file that overrides the maps. i know about the command line commands for it, and i use those, but they do not allow me to make a path cheaper, just more expensive. so what i need is a local file. thanks. in the next version of pathalias, you will be able to adjust the cost through hosts or links (e.g., "adjust {foo!bar(LOW), baz(-1)}") or delete them altogether (e.g., "delete {foo!bar, baz}"). i find it real handy to read the usenet maps, then "delete {citi}" (my local host), then read my local maps. these were chongo's ideas, by the way. the next version won't ship until i figure out how to satisfy rick and greg (something to do with domains behind terminal edges, or is it the other way around?), but delete and adjust are done. you can ftp what i've got from citi.umich.edu!/pub/honey/pathalias.Z, or i can mail you a copy. peter
