[comp.mail.misc] Wayward UUCP Mail

robin@bnrmtv.UUCP (Robin Coutellier) (10/11/88)

The message below (sans text) was routed to our site (bnrmtv), even
though our site is not part of the path. When it got to our site,
rather than being bounced back to the sender, it was actually
(seemingly randomly) delivered to one of our users (username "raul",
userid 117). I would like to know:

	a) How did it end up at our site when we're not part of
	    the path?

	b) Why did our software deliver it to a user who is
also not part of the path?
