[ Apologies in advance if you're seeing this for the second time.
I posted it to comp.protocols.{ibm,misc} last week, and after it
went out, it occurred to me that comp.mail.misc is probably at
least as appropriate a newsgroup (if not more appropriate) than
the first two. ]
Our site is looking into the possibility of becoming a BITNET node (well,
NetNorth as it's called up here, eh?), and one of things that we've been
told we'll need is a software package called UREP. (We're running 4.3bsd
on a VAX.) I was given the e-mail address to write to for information,
and have tried twice (once a few months ago, and again a couple weeks ago),
but got no reply. This means that (1) they never received my request, or
(2) They sent a reply which never got to me, or (3) nobody's home. Does
anybody have up to date information on how to find out everything I need
to know about getting the UREP software (cost, licensing arrangements, and
such)? Thanks in advance. By the way, the e-mail address I was given is
urep-license@psuvax1.psu.edu, in case that's relevant.
