Greetings. I know some people that have a large IBM machine(s), and they're running PROFS on it(them), which apparently provides these people with their corporate email system. They're buying a bunch of sun 4's for their engineering department, and they'd like to try to gateway from PROFS to the sun network. Does anyone know if this sort of gateway has been done before, and if so by whom? Or does anyone knowledgable about PROFS have any good ideas regarding whether this is reasonable to do? Any leads appreciated.... -- David A. Fox Quadratron Systems Inc. Inet: david@quad.com, Postmaster@quad.com UUCP: david@quad1.uucp uunet!ccicpg!quad1!david "Man, woman, child... Their PMX family of software (Private Mail Xchange) also has mail exchange modules for PROFS and other systems (HP, DEC, etc). Although the PMX products run on AT&T 3B's, as one might expect, this might be a lead. -- Ralph Barker, RALMAR Business Systems, 640 So Winchester Blvd, San Jose,CA 95128 uucp: ...{pyramid, sun, uunet}!amdahl!unixprt!ralmar!ralph or, attmail!ralmar!ralph Voice: (408) 248-8649
