[comp.mail.misc] Simple X400 questions

I'm currently studying the X400 standard and have a few
elementary questions which the net can probably answer.

1) My copy of the standard says "Malaga-Torremolinos 1984".  Is
   there a later version?  If it helps, the bottom of each page
   of my copy is labeled as "Fascicle VIII.7 - Rec. X.400".

2) Is "sendmail" a valid X400 MTA (message transfer agent)? 

3) Is X400 being used in North America?  (I've heard it's 
   popular in Europe.)

4) Can sendmail/UUCP be grafted onto (into ?) X400, or are these
   two mail delivery systems incompatible?

   If incompatible, how do sites which support X400 communicate
   with UUCP sites?
