Being a novice at e-mail, I was wondering if anyone could help me? I'm
trying to reach a friend via Bitnet. He is more of a novice than I, and
could only furnish me with his machine name and logon id. I have access to at
least uunet and arpanet, maybe more that I don't know about.
Can I get to bitnet from where I'm at, or do I need more information from
the other side.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Just for the record...we just went through this, didn't we? ANYWAY, the safest path from a USENET-only site to BITNET is thus... yoursite!uunet.uu.net!cunyvm.cuny.edu!theirsite!them or them%theirsite.bitnet%cunyvm.cuny.edu@uunet.uu.net If you are on the Inter/ARPAnet for real (not just a domain name), then you can use: them%theirsite.bitnet@cunyvm.cuny.edu or them%theirsite.bitnet@cornellc.cit.cornell.edu Unc
