hopefully, internet and usenet folks will soon be able to email directly
to fax gateway machines in major cities... the demo system i am
putting together will provide netters with free fax access to any
fax machine in the metro Boston area.
a usenet gent provided such a gateway for a brief while last year,
but he allowed faxes anywhere in the US. if a few major cities had
such gateways, many emailfaxes could be sent without any cost except
internet hops and usenet phone calls.
what do you all think of free email to fax usenet nodes in major
calling areas? are there sys admins out there who would be interested
in providing such service with their personal fax boards and usenet nodes?

more about this uucp-fax gateway i attempt to put it together.
