[comp.mail.misc] sending from MCI Mail to the Internet

allbery@NCoast.ORG (Brandon S. Allbery) (09/09/89)

This is not 100% confirmed... I'll know if/when my test message arrives on
uunet. (Faster.)

Anyway, here's what I did:

	Command? CREATE
	TO:	Brandon S. Allbery (EMS)
	EMS:	Internet
	(prints information about Internet EMS)
	MBX:	allbery@uunet.UU.NET
	Is this address correct? yes
	TO:	_

I'll also be finding out soon how much it costs.... ;-)

As quoted from <1989Sep9.152337.3180@NCoast.ORG> by allbery@NCoast.ORG (Brandon S. Allbery):

Consider it confirmed; as far as I can tell, the message was delivered
immediately.

Interesting note: it was addressed from 0001617070@mcimail.com. I assume
replies work... I wonder who pays for them, or for received messages?
