I'm posting this request on behalf of someone else. There is a young man in W. Australia who has Down's Syndrome, and his parents would like to get him a facility to send e-mail. Their reason is (apparently) that he has enough intelligence to hold a converstaion, but not enough speaking ability. He lives near Perth. As far as I know, some enquiries have been/are being made to see if the university in Perth can help. What I'm asking about is private e-mail facilities, via a home computer or similar. The UK has something along these lines, and no doubt the US does too, but: Is it available in Australia? Will it communicate outside Australia? Does anyone know the costs? Thanks a lot.
