What organization do you want to send mail to? There are numerous uucp nodes in Japan (see the 'uumap' maps for Japan, available through anonymous ftp from uunet.uu.net. There are also several internet hosts in the '.jp' domain. To find out more, 'whois' the 'jp-dom' at sri-nic.arpa. There is even one (at least) host in Japan that allows anonymous ftp. >I would appreciate any information on sending mail to other countries. Again, look that the uumaps for the countries they are available for, and for the two-letter internet domain names (ISO two-letter country codes). Besides, look at the Bitnet node list. Bitnet is available in a number of countries. There are several other networks to foreign countries, but you have to know first which organizations you want to contact. -=- Peter Dotzauer, Numerical Cartography Lab, Dept of Geography, OSU, Columbus, OH VOICE (614) 292-1357 FAX (614) 292-9180 DATA (614) 293-0081 BITNET pjd@ohstvmb UUCP ...!osu-cis!hpuxa.ircc.ohio-state.edu!pjd FIDO 1:226/330 INTERNET pjd@hpuxa.ircc.ohio-state.edu [128.146.1.5]
