I would like to be able to communicate with somebody who has access to a mail system called "AT&T mail access plus." They work at Woodland Park Hospital in Portland, OR. In his manual for this system there are instructions on how to mail to UNIX system users. So, I had the idea that if he could mail to me, I could probably figure out a return path. But so far we have had no luck in finding the correct address for him to use to send to me. The address they tell him to use is: unix_<system>!<username> Does anybody have any ideas as to what would be filled in for <system> and <username> if he were to try to mail to me? We have tried: unix_bionette.cgrb.orst.edu!duvalj -- Doesn't work. He has some messages that have a "TO" line of: !contwoodland/FORMAT=BUSINESS/ELECTRONIC/STANDARD (Woodland Park Hos..) Thanks for any help! -Joe -- duvalj@bionette.cgrb.orst.edu | Life is a tragedy for those that feel Phone: (503) 929-2556 (Philomath, OR) | and a comedy for those that think!

If his transport is directly through the attmail service, you would need a subscription to the service yourself or a route through some unix machine willing to forward (unlikely, since attmail has a per-message fee). If his organization maintains their own unix host for the access plus users, then he can address anything the unix mail transport can handle, although by default it will attempt to check addresses against the uucp Systems file.
