I have been hearing about the wonderful Andrew mail system. Apparently it is fully RFC822 compliant, but has many additional features, such as return-receipt (when read), encryption, multi-media capabilities, etc. I would guess that since it is 822 compliant that the hooks for the neat features are encoded into header fields. Is this true? If so, how can I get a list of the "magic" headers that Andrew mail generates and understands? Part of my goal is to add hooks to Emacs RMAIL mode that will let me exploit some of these features (that don't require multi-media, etc.) and interoperate with Andrew mail users via the Internet, *without* running the Andrew mail system here. If I get enough information, and there is interest, perhaps an RFC can be written detailing these new features and headers to allow other mail UAs to provide these nice features in an interoperable fashion.
