jessea@dynasys.UUCP (Jesse W. Asher) (08/11/90)
I recently posted an article about having problems getting aliasing to
work correctly with smail3.x. Then I posted an article saying I had gotten
it fixed by changing to lsearch instead of bsearch. I was wrong. I was
also wrong in not checking /bin/mail. I had not installed binmail to
replace /bin/mail - that was the problem. Thanx to all that contributed.
Now does anyone know how to make my return address Jesse.W.Asher instead
of my loginid? I'd like to use my full name on the reply-to and from lines.
Any ideas?

The only way to do this is to change the source, or write a front-end shell script replacement for /usr/lib/sendmail that generates a -f option with the correct return address. -- tron |-<=>-| ARPAnet: veritas!tron@apple.com tron@veritas.com UUCPnet: {amdahl, apple, pyramid}!veritas!tron
