I am working with some local BBS's who are trying to get set up to talk to the world. In the past, they have been using an internally unique mail system, with special black box software to attempt to convert mail into a form recognizable by BITNET, etc. Now they would like to convert to a standard mail system. I am not talking about the user interface - that is a different issue. I just mean converting over into a form which is supported by their machines. These machines are running Unix (quite similar to SunOS or Ultrix). Where is a good place to start with this? They have been reading and doing some experimenting with sendmail and the alias files. Is there a good tutorial to read about this? What other things should be of concern? Thanks -- Larry W.
