I am not sure where my problem is, but I think it may be in elm or mmdf.
I am running SCO UNIX 3.2 with the standard MMDF replaced by version 43.
I am also running ELM PL8. I am using the MMDF sendmail to send mail.
When I send mail to somplace, my From and Sender lines have "From: jbev@
jbsys.com" and all looks well. However, when I forward mail to someplace,
the From and Sender lines have "From: jbev@jbsys". The domain has not
been specified. So where is the problem, ELM or MMDF? Where can I look?
Any help of where to look would be great!!
The second problem I am having is unrespondable addresses in the From:
line from my mail feed site. I am not sure if it a problem with MMDF
or my mail feed. I get lines of the form "mailfeed!user@place.dom". When
I try to respond, ELM presents the address place.dom!mailfeed!user and it
gets bounced. It also appears in the Sender: line the same way. I
have to manually set the return address to mailfeed!place.dom!user to
get it send properly. The question is: is my mailfeed sending me the
wrong stuff, or is there a problem in MMDF/ELM causing the problem?
I have chased this problem for weeks, with no solution. About 50% of
my mail is this way, with the rest being O.K..
