[comp.mail.misc] Forms Specification Available??

lindner@cs.umn.edu (Paul Lindner) (12/12/90)

Does there exist a standard for forms within e-mail (specifically
SMTP) ? I know that elm supports something called AT&T forms.
What is this? I couldn't figure out how this works. We, the creators
of POPmail for the Mac and PC, would like to include some form of
forms mode in an upcoming release. We would prefer to build on
existing technology rather than rewriting it from scratch.

Thanks!

I have a document which I got from AT&T some time ago.

Standard for Exchanging Forms on AT&T Mail
	Version 1.9 of 6/7/86

	AT&T Information Systems
	1701 Campus Drive,
	Somerset,
	NJ 08873

I don't have it on line. It's only about 9 pages long. Perhaps AT&T
could make it available for FTP somewhere.
