HELP! I am having a problem with a local system re-writing, or rather deleting a portion of my mail (as far as I know, it is just mail) FROM: header.. As my system sends it out, the header should read: seanp%undrground@amix.commodore.com However, 90% of my mail responses go to: seanp@amix.commodore.com The postmaster at amix set up a forwarding account for me, but my other users are out of luck. If someone could give me a possible solution, and/or cause of this, so I may track down the offending system, I would greatly appreciate it. Sean

seanp%undrground@amix.commodore.com (Sean Petty) writes that some system is destroying the local part containing %underground. The easiest way to correct this situation is to use MX records instead of %. % will buy you lots of trouble over the long run. If you are interested in moving to an MX/Forwarder system, and you need help doing so, please contact me directly. -- Eliot Lear [lear@turbo.bio.net]
