Could someone send me a file (if it exists) that explains how one can create their own domain to be used with smart mailers (ie: distributed along with the maps in comp.mail.maps)? I am setting up several systems with a BBS program I've written, and want to be their gateway (it's sort of complicated: a network already exists of other BBS systems running on non-Unix machines but whose BBS software emulates Unix, and this network can exchange information with my system(s)). Anyhow, these older systems have a domain handling things for them now, but things move slowly because none of the machines multitask (and for various other reasons) so I'd like to move them to my domain since my system is pretty fast as has this Internet site as a neighbor and news/mail feed site. I'm just curious about how this works, and whether it's a political thing or I simply need to make a request to "the person in charge" (perhaps someone at rutger since that's where the maps are registered?). Thanks for any help! -- John
