Hmmm, I'm starting to wonder if my postings are getting anywhere. I haven't seen any responses to anything in a week or so... I posted a while back asking if anyone had any comments on using datelines of the format: Date: Thu, Feb 7 1991 08:38:44 -0800 (PST) i.e. giving the numerical timezone as recommended by RFC1123, but having the (possibly ambiguous) acronym as a comment. Makes sense to me...any comments? On a similar tangent, I just came across some mail that had the following date line: Date: Japan: Thu Feb 7 22:27:18 JST 1991, Europe: Thu Feb 7 13:27:19 GMT 1991 E.USA: Thu Feb 7 08:27:19 EST 1991, W.USA: Thu Feb 7 05:27:18 PST 1991 Now, that doesn't comply with any standards I know about, but I figured I'd ask around before firing off an indignant message to the postmaster at this site... :-) Thanks, -- Stewart -- "The old stereotypes must be lost that peace and knowledge and love are soft." -- Blastmaster KRS-ONE /* uunet!sco!stewarte -or- stewarte@sco.COM -or- Stewart Evans */
