I am trying to get mmdf to deliver mail to full.named users as well as user ids. I have my mailids and users files set up as below: mailids: john.pettitt jpp j.pettitt jpp pettitt jpp jpettitt jpp jpp jpp users: jpp john.pettitt alias.user jpp: jpp@bugs.specialix.co.uk If I mail to john.pettitt@bugs.specialix.co.uk it works and the mail gets delivered to the mailbox jpp. If however I mail to john.pettitt@arthur.specialix.co.uk then the mail is delivered to the jpp mailbox on arthur ignoring the alias to bugs. What am I doing wrong ? If I do checkaddr on a full.name then it always resolves to a local delivery even if there is a remote alias for that user. This is causing me problems as I have several hosts acting as backup MX to each other all of which should be able to deliver mail.
