root@sol (Solbourne Root Account) (04/25/91)
I am trying to correctly install smail on our Solbourne 5E/902. This is a sparc system running Solbourne OS/MP 4.0D (a derivative of SunOS 4.0.3). We do not currently have any UUCP connectivity from this host. I would like to know if anyone out there has smail installed on a similar configuration. We are Internet connected. I also need smail to correctly route mx, .bitnet, .thenet, etc. messages. Right now it uses DNS OK, but no mx or other works. We also have another machine for a local UUCP gateway. It runs pathalias, so I would like .uucp addresses and ! paths to go to it with no other processing by me. We may support UUCP at some point in the future, which is why I want to use smail now, instead of sendmail. If you fit the profile and can help, please do! Adv[Thanks]ance
