This month's award goes to FARWEST.UUCP or its Fidonet neighbors, for repetitively mailing dozens of copies of the following news article, at roughly two-day intervals, for more than a month. Indeed, this one takes the cake, since the address it's mailing to is gatewayed into a USENET newsgroup and associated Internet mailing list with readership on nearly every continent. It even goes to Antarctica. In the count of people annoyed alone, this one outdoes nearly all the previous "broken mailer of the month" awards alone. To top it off, mail sent to postmaster@farwest.fidonet.org and to farwest!postmaster never gets there. Ah, the wonders of computing. - Brian From ucsd!nosc!dog.ee.lbl.gov!ucbvax!cis.ohio-state.edu!zaphod.mps.ohio-state.edu!wuarchive!uunet!nuchat!farwest!Uucp Sat Jun 8 18:39:19 PDT 1991 Article: 557 of rec.radio.amateur.packet Path: ucsd!nosc!dog.ee.lbl.gov!ucbvax!cis.ohio-state.edu!zaphod.mps.ohio-state.edu!wuarchive!uunet!nuchat!farwest!Uucp From: Robert.S..Radvanovsky.KC6ONL@farwest.FidoNet.Org (Robert S. Does anyone know if a PACKET (either AX.25 and/or TCP/IP) gatewaye exists between PACKET radio and Internet? If so, could someone please state where it is located? If not, why has this not been performed? Additionally, what would be needed in getting set up? Robert S. Radvanovsky, KC6ONL i * Origin: Two Wheelers bikie hangout (1:106/88.0)
