I've heard a lot of talk about this newsgroup (the one mentioned in the subject) lately, and I am VERY interested in reading it, because I would like to learn about the different newsgroups and etiquette and so forth. However, I have checked this newsgroup for the past few weeks, and there has been nothing on it. I have also tried net.announce.newusers also, but there's nothing there either. I'd like to know when and if articles are posted in those groups, because I really want to read it. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Cindy

(I'm surprised this isn't done already...but I took a look at what we currently have in m.a.n., and none of it carries an Expires: line.) On this general topic, it seems clear that m.a.n should not be treated by the software as just another newsgroup. It has been suggested that this group should be the first one presented the first time someone reads news. Perhaps there should also be a feature that prevents posting by anyone who has not read the articles in m.a.n. Opinions?
