A few weeks ago I asked whether or not a comp.mail.sendmail group should be formed. I got responses from (in no particular order): Matt Bishop, Kate Rosenbloom (Thomas), Michael Meissner, malice, Bill Huttig, David Schmidt, Roy Smith, Dave Marquardt, Dieter Weber, Erik E. Fair, Greg Woods, Paul Sutcliffe Jr., Eric D. Christensen, Gregbo (The lost Bostonian) and Jem Taylor. The results were overwhelmingly in favor of *something* .. there was no agreement except that more information on writing config files is needed. Based on these results (and the small number of people who responded), I don't think a sendmail newsgroup should be created. However, almost all agreed that if a newsgroup were not created, a mailing list should be, so I've created Yet Another Mailing List. The people who said "yes" are already on the list; you do not have to send another message to get on it. Anyone else who wants to become a sendmail guru, or wants to help others become sendmail gurus, should write to: Administrative: info-sendmail-request@ulowell Submissions: info-sendmail@ulowell ulowell is reachable via CSNET and UUCP .. UUCP is preferred, as our CSNET link is flaky at our end right now. ..Bob
