It has been pointed out to me that the original request for
votes for creation of a fonts newsgroup was not cross posted
to comp.graphics.
Ooops. Missed one.
It has also been suggested that a name comp.text.fonts or comp.graphics.fonts
would be more appropriate.
I don't know why, but I dont like either of these. It seems irrational
to state that .text is too printerish and .graphics is too CRTish,
and that seperation of fonts from their media is a noble goal.
Ok, so it's irrational. I like comp.fonts.
Voting started 4 hours after i finally got the request for votes to
somebody besides the moderator of a moderated newsgroup, and after
48 (to the minute) hours, voting is running 42 for 2 against.
