[news.groups] news.software.b --> news.software

gam@amdahl.uts.amdahl.com (Gordon Moffett) (03/06/88)

To eliminate any confusion about what the newsgroup is
for, I propose that we rename news.software.b to simply
news.software. It will when clearly be a newsgroup for
discussions of news *software* -- all of it, including rn,
vn and whatever else there is.

As for subgroups of news.software, I am not proposing
any subgroups at this time, as that is a separate issue.
I am only the proposing the renaming, which eliminates
the news.software.b subgroup for now.

Gene Spafford answered my question to the Backbone about how to rename
a newsgroup:
