About a month ago, some kind souls decided to share a very large VHDL
test suite with us, distributed via comp.lsi. Now, we have a new treat:
a set of EDIF examples.
Am I alone here, or is this totally out of control? Why are we paying
thousands of dollars for kilobytes of stuff that the majority of the
net couldn't give a rat's ass about? Based on what I've received so far,
the EDIF stuff is going to be about almost a megabyte when done.
Can anybody explain why comp.lsi is subject to these abuses? I mean,
it's nice enough for these folks to make this stuff available, and I
*strongly* support using the net to aid in the distribution. But
using the net for the actual distribution is stooopid.
