We have been somewhat on / somewhat off the net lately (I'm hoping this makes it out), so I missed the sci.chem discussions. I do see that a newgroup message was apparently sent out a week or so ago, but such never arrived here. Was it actually sent out? For some strange reason the announcement that the vote to create sci.chem was "successful" was made in the newly created sci.chem and not cross- posted. So, those of us at sites that do not immediately pick up new groups were left in the dark.
