[news.groups] Is Richard Counting My Vote?

dietz@cs.rochester.edu (Paul Dietz) (10/21/89)

I've sent my vote on sci.aquaria to Richard Sexton twice, and have
yet to receive an acknowledgement. Is anyone else having this problem?

FYI, I voted "NO". I sincerely hope that had no effect on the way
Richard handled my vote.

Wait a minute. Richard is under no obligation to acknowledge our NO
votes, or anyone else's YES vote. I certainly wouldn't want to reply
to > 100 messages sent to my personal mailbox. My vote for
rec.radio.swl was not acknowledged, but appeared in the list of voters
posted recently. Let's wait until he posts a list of votes received
to date (a tradition of late) or the final vote summary before turning
on the flamethrowers.

Thats right Paul. If you'd voted yes you would have got a basket of flowers
and a Maserati in the mail.

Don't worry, somebody else has it worse then you. He voted no, and I replied
``thank you for your YES vote'' and he replied ``Nono, I voted NO!''
and I replied ``what are you talking about, I already told you I got
your yes vote''. Maybe I'm starting to lose it.

All kidding aside, I'm not generally acking votes, but I am keeping
a fair count. There's no point in holding a vote if you aren't going
to be fair about it, and I don't want this to fail on a procedural issue.

Should I ACK each vote ? (I have about 300)

Shouls I post a list of voters someplace ?
