Is there two news.groups in which to post. I am receiving only one called news.group and now notice that there is one called news.announce.news group. If so, I guess I did goof, since I was unaware of two conferences. So now what to do!!! Start over....continue with Call for Discussion!!! I will be glad to have further discussion here for another two week period....and then go forth. But if I have to post to news.announce.newsgroup...I first got to get my gateway to forward that to me! I certainly would appreciate some help, guidance....now that I have a copy of the rules...you can see that for some of us...it isn't all that easy...it's hard to put a puzzle together when you don't have all the PIECES! <grin> All I was trying to do was make this conference accessible to USENET folks...I never dreamt I was gonna be up nights trying to figure all this out. Sheesh! Perhaps maybe one of the many who have shown favorable response would like to take over this procedure of getting it established...since you know the rules. I will be happy to be the moderator, provide the expertise, and provide the gateway to merge the two for expanding the sharing of information on this topic which IS the only interest in combining the two. I will say that the FIDONET Conference has developed nicely and we have folks from San Francisco to France sharing and exchanging genealogical research. I am in the process of expanding the Conference to other European sites as well. I am also working on some pretty exciting prospects for doing on-line surname and shtetl searches as well.....so my platter is pretty full! I will leave the rest of the discussion and direction up to you!!! I will be happy to do whatever is required....follow the rules...and be the official vote counter....if and when we ever get to that phase or if we are there....<good grief> since I posted what I thought <a second post> a Call for Discussion over 3 weeks ago...the first mistake just about a month ago.
