I was reading news for about 3 years before I even subscribed to
news.groups

Surely USENET contents are more important to the average "user" than
the discussions of what newsgroup names the content should live under?

I would hazard a guess that the "news" hierarchy has a higher proportion
of news-admins than non-admins. Of course, I could be wrong. Anyone
interested in participating in YAS (Yet Another Survey) is welcome to
email me at the address below (use your 'r' key at your own peril),
and I will post the results as a Christmas present. Comments will
actually be read and summarized (without attribution).

The real reason for this question is to determine who is _really_
interested in how our hierarchy evolves.

The question: "Do you (the reader of news.groups) administer
or contribute to the administration of USENET
			 news at your site?"

While I'll probably process this manually, you could be kind and use
the following format in your Subject line:	newsadmin YES/NO
