For the longest time, I couldn't understand why Patt Haring so often had reasonable posts of her own but seemed to flip out when UNITEX came up. I guess trying to deal with waldron would do that to you, especially if you aren't one of the elite few he deems worthy. Having just waded through his histrionics and self-centered postings that imply, as a paraphrase of the old T-shirt goes, 'if you ain't me, you ain't shit', I have to admit - by his standards, I ain't shit. Unfortunately, I don't feel bad about not meeting his 'standards'. Patt, my sympathies to you. I've harbored some doubts about you in the past due to the unitex crap - I'm glad you're out of that. Keep up the good posts from you and walk away. Nobody, you or anyone else, could do much for a situation where the chief mucketymuck can make such an ass of himself in public, to the point that a 'waldron' will likely be well remembered as a unit of pomposity. (Although, to use it, we'll have to start him off with something like 100 units, or we'll almost never get to use a full unit on others. Figure it out, folks.) Wonder when 'the real Dr J' [love that, does he think DR is some magic incantation on THIS net?] will start JJ letters. Seems about his style. -- | ...!cs.utexas.edu!execu!dewey or | "If you will just quit shouting at me, I | | ...uunet!execu!dewey | will try to hear what you are saying" | | Execucom and I often have different ideas. Absolute coulombs, international coulombs, deposition of 0.001118 grams of silver from a silver nitrate solution, abampere-second/10, and other real exciting trivia. You wanna volta ? I'll see your emf and raise you a STANDARD CELL. International vs absolute, difference of 34 parts per 10^6 indeed. Here, NATURAL this, bub :-) Far be it from me to criticize you for dumping on someone, but if you're gonna do a flame, you should at least try to get it right.
