It's been nearly a week since I proposed reorganizing the news.software.*
newsgroups. The following summarizes the responses I received.
* Removing and/or moving existing groups was considered to be a bad
idea by almost all of the respondents.
* Many of the respondents were in favor of a newsgroup or newsgroup
hierarchy for discussing newsreaders.
In light of this response, consider the removing/moving aspects of my
proposal abandoned.
The question of a newsgroup for newsreaders remains. The responses
I received indicates that one is desired.
I request that you please indicate your opinion of what the new newsgroup
should be called (or if there should be one) on the following ballot
and mail it to me so I can change my proposal.
_ news.software.readers
_ news.software.readers.misc
_ news.software.misc
_ No newsgroup for newsreader discussion
_ Other
