[Poster states that voting will continue to 2/13/90. This should probably be 2/11/90. As always, MAIL votes to the vote taker, and not to moderator, as I will cheerfully discard them. -eliot] This is the first "Call for Votes" for the Usenet news group comp.sys.sun.intel. This will be a moderated news group. Comp.sys.sun.intel will be an non-digested Usenet version of the Sun 386i mailing list (sun-386i@mgh-coffee.harvard.edu). The charter of comp.sys.sun.intel is to provide a forum for the discussion of issues specific to the Sun 386i and the 486i workstations. The name of this news group was chosen because both models use Intel CPUs. The sun-386i mailing list will continue in its present form. The comp.sys.sun news group will not be effected by the intel subgroup and will continue to be used for topics specific to the other workstations produced by Sun Microsystems. For several months all articles sent to Sun Spots that were specific to the Sun 386i workstations have been forwarded to the Sun 386i mailing list and not distributed to the comp.sys.sun news group. As moderator of the Sun 386i mailing list I have volunteered to moderate the comp.sys.sun.intel news group. Please send your vote to: listmod@mgh-coffee.harvard.edu Make your vote clear and precise as in these examples: YES vote for the comp.sys.sun.intel newsgroup as proposed or NO vote for the comp.sys.sun.intel newsgroup as proposed The voting will continue for 21 days until February 13, 1990.
