Well, there has been quite a turnout for splitting off some of the image format people from the main stream "technical" discussion that people "look for" in comp.graphics so I'm officially opening the discussion period, and unless convinced otherwise will call for a vote: To create: comp.graphics.images or .formats The purpose, to handle computer graphics formats and conversions including popular PC and Macintosh formats? Also could include image compressions, and 24bit RGB image formats, as well as dithering, etc. So lets look at this proposal and see if this would be a good thing.
