Point of personal privilege: altho the person who invoked the
q-epithet seemed sympathetic to the right of individuals to make
their own choice on sexuality, I find use of the word as offensive
as I would the n-epithet.

These don't seem to define the content of the group. Why not use soc.motss.issues and keep all the motss discussion in one hierarchy? It is clearer what is being discussed, and easier to administer the topics from a news standpoint.
