Unfortunately, we are not discussing bookstores or books. We are
discussing role playing games and Usenet.

I disagree.

I am not *implying* that all Role Playing Games involve Fantasy, I am
*emphasizing* it. To suggest otherwise is incorrect.

If you want to argue over nonsense, then how does this grab you:
renaming the group to "rec.games.rpg" would be redundant since
"rpg" stands for Role Playing Games. At least suggest that the name
should be changed to "rec.games.rp". Look at that! One fewer character!
Think of the Bandwidth that could be saved over the centuries.

Once and for all, we _can't_ change the name. It conflicts with an
extant group in the ddn distribution which deals with rocket-propelled
grenade exercises.

Enough silly little TLAs. How about rec.games.roleplaying?

That's the best suggestion I've heard yet.

How about we come up with a separate newsgroup for all the folks with
nothing better to do then suggest splitting/renaming this group?
