[news.groups] final call for votes: soc.history

This is the final call for votes for the new group soc.history.
soc.history is proposed as an unmoderated group for general
discussions related to the study of history.

votes should be send to

welty@lewis.crd.ge.com

they should be simple yes or no votes on the group as proposed;
votes conditionalized on changes to the proposal will not be 
accepted for reasons which should be obvious.

the current total of votes received is approx. 115 (modulo
possible duplicates; these will be found and removed during
the final vote count period.)

the vote will end friday the 23rd of february; as i will
be off the net friday through monday, expect a modest delay
in tabulation and posting of results.  i will identify
late votes based on the arrival time in my inbox, based on
the mail headers.
