[net.unix-wizards] Driver for the DR11W

SUNDAR%MIT-OZ@MIT-MC.ARPA (07/07/84)

Hi:
Does anyone know if a device driver for the DR11W that runs under UNIX
(4.2 preferable) exist ??
Any information and/or help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
-Sundar.

On BRL-VGR, anonymous FTP, file arch/dr11.tar, you will find
two drivers for 4.2 for DR-11 based hardware.

The "un" driver (distributed with 4.2bsd) is a DR11/W driver
for an Ungermann-Bass datagram service module. It's probably
not exactly what you want but you should be able to fix it up.
By the way: there is no such thing as a "generic" DR11W driver
for UNIX because the interpretation of the function and status
bits in the CSR is dependent on what you have connected to the
other side of the DR11W.
