[news.groups] comp.sys.atari.st.tech vote violates the guidelines

ralph@laas.fr (Ralph P. Sobek) (06/11/90)

First off, sorry to add bandwidth but...

In article <18324@rpp386.cactus.org> jfh@rpp386.cactus.org (John F. Haugh II) writes:
| Yes, but if you should change your mind and decide to vote
| "NO", remember the two spaces. And even if you should decide
| to vote "YES", as is your right, make absolutely certain that
| you use the exact same Subject: line which he included in his
| initial call. Otherwise, according to his call for votes,
| your "YES" vote is invalid and he may not count it.

I *REALLY* hope that things are *NOT* this restrictive. In all the
other newsgroup votes in which I've participated, I would Reply to the
author (or whatever he or she suggested) and edit the "Subject: "
header, adding YES or NO. And I've never had any problems!

Lucky I guess.
