Does anyone know of software development tools for use on intel's RMX 86 operating system. Anything beyond the bare bones compiler & editor. We managed to pick up a program called "skim", sort of a "more" or "pg". I'm looking for something like "diff", "grep", etc. Anyone else attempting to write software for this system? Do you use cross- development from something else? Also, anyone have a decent Kermit for RMX?

Many of the "extra" development tools you're asking about are available from iRUG -- the iRMX User's Group. Catherine Moon at 503 696 7038 is the iRUG coordinator here at the factory, and she'd be happy to give you more information about iRUG, including application forms. I know that a Kermit for iRXM 286 exists in their collection, as I was looking at porting it back to 86 until I changed job assignments. Intel itself also offers an iRMX 86 version of ToolBox 86, which I believe includes some version management tools. Having done a lot of development on iRMX 86, I know that it is important to keep collecting these little tools.
