Sorry for posting this question for the second time, but I would really like to know the answer ..... On the March issue of Personal Computing Review, I saw an advertisement for a Chapelet 386SX; it's stated that the CPU speed is 20 MHz! I didn't know that Intel manifactures a 386SX CPU running at 20MHz ... Is there anybody on this network able to confirm or disconfirm the above information? Thanks in advance: Aldo.

Intel has announced the 20MHz 80386SX, and also a version of their cache controller for the SX. I saw a claim somewhere that the cached SX at 20MHz had performance roughly equal to an uncached 20MHz 386DX. I don't think the memory speed of the 386DX system was mentioned, though. I would make sure that the system you mention actually uses the 20MHz part and not a pushed 16MHz chip. Pushed 20MHz systems have been available for a long time. -David Hinds dhinds@popserver.stanford.edu

Yes there is. It's been available for months. Kevin Hall HP Logic Systems Div.
