Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of public doamin DOS extenders for the 386. I would be nice to have a system that I can play with rather than just linking into one. I don't feel like sitting around and writing one yet and I also don't have the time. Another note, it will be tough for people with fast 386's to move into the the world of multiprocessing workstations because the speed that we have become accustomed to will disappear. A workstation might have 20 MIPS but that is very quickly chopped up by 20 or 30 processes running in the background and you wind up with maybe 5 MIPS left or less as well as having to wait for the disk to service all of the ohter requests.
