I am trying to upgrade the single board computer 286/12 by replacing it with an sbc 382/12. According to Intel, the 386/12 board is a direct replacement of the 286/12. The sbc 286/12 is running rmx86 ver 6. It is configured to work in real mode. The application is written in plm86. The application has been fully tested to be free of any bugs and it is currently working on the 286 with no problems. When I imported this application to the 386/12 board, I ran into a problem the board didn't work; i first imported the OS & then i imported the application, the problem i am facing is that the 386/12 board is not intializing; the memory has been configured properly as well as the IO; i used the 386/12 software upgrade to find the direct mapping between the 286 and the 386; the problem being that the ds5 LED is always set, and doesn't go further the initilization onto my program; i have in the past called N different numbers at INTEL getting nowhere; i was wondering if any else has faced this problem , or experience in upgrading , or better still a number at INTEL where they do service these calls (1-800 numbers are useless) - thanks -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bharat P.
