[comp.sys.intel] I/O and TLB

The manuals for device driver writers under SCO Unix (and I
think Interactive, too) mention that one needs to flush the
TLB when doing an in or out instruction to a port above 1024,
and point out tha their library routines do this for you.

I've searched the 386 manual, and can't find where it says that
you have to do this.  Where does it talk about this?  If it
doesn't, where is one supposed to find out about this need?
