I am thinking about getting a 486 -33 EISA machine from Tandon, but they are advertising 64 bit memory. I thought the chip had a 32 bit addressing scheme with 48 bits possible with segments. Does anybody out there know whether this 64 bit memory is fact or fiction, and if fact, what's going on? Also, are external caches for the memory really worthwhile for DOS usage? Thanks - jham@cs.umr.edu
