[comp.sys.intel] FAQ? IEEE

The summary says it all. I'm sure this is a small wheel that does not
need reinventing. Anon ftp, dial-up, or email sources greatly appreciated.

I'll be glad to propagate it if permitted by the source.

And yet the "summary" didn't even show up locally. I was looking for
a 68030 to Intel floating point conversion routine for use in moving
data from a Force 30 (68030) to a PC/AT (286) in real time.

At any rate, my apologies... an Intel rep. and a net news respondent
have informed me that both Intel and Motorola support ANSI-IEEE 754
floating point formats. Perhaps it is just a byte ordering problem.
Email comments are welcomed.
