Well, I have been using 2.2 on my Compaq model 130 with 6meg of memory for over half a year and have seen many problems come and go. This one will not go, though. Everything else seems to work fine. can someone please help??!?!?! Equipment: Compaq Model 130 6M memory 130M disk 1 serial/parallel card (both active) 1 Bell Technologies HUB6 (6 port serial card) Compaq EGA Epson 286e printer connected via parallel port Problem: Sometimes when printing, the system just reboots. Wham-bam thank you mam! Yuckers! I know about the problem when shutting of the printer while in the midlle of printing (again, the system just crashes or reboots). But here we are not even doing that. Any ideas/suggestions/solutions? Another kinda related problem: When I Ctrl-Alt-Del after the system crashes, with a disk locked in the disk drive, the computer does not boot unix, instead, the computer starts spitting out a bunch of line-feeds to the parallel port and the printer just starts spitting out paper. last time this happened I had forgotten about this funny problem and had decided to leave the room. Luckily I received a phone call and was forced to come back into the room to notice my problem, quickly building up. Again, any ideas/suggestions/solutions? Oh, BTW, the reason for the disk in the drive is that I frequently hit `rm *' - most of the time accidentally; yes I know, big fingers, and it causes lots of problems and is generally a big waste of time. So, in addition to doing daily backups of the system to 60M tape, I do half hour backups (as a cron job) of the directory in which I am doing most of my work to floppy. Thanks In Advance!
