[comp.unix.xenix] Rare Service

Having been a reader of net news for some time now, I have
noticed that it normally appears as if most of the comments made
about a manufactuer tend to be a slight bit on the negative side
and I believe that when someone shows Exceptional support or
service that that company should be congratulated.

I believe Control Systems of St. Paul Minnesota is one of
those rare companies whom deserve some praise.

Recently some problems with my serial port "hanging" was
beginning to find it's way to a possible defect in the hardware,
maybe. There was no way for me to really determine this. I called
Control Systems Support and initially they wanted to have me mail
in my multiport card to have them examine it for the possible flaw
that I felt might exist. I explained to them how it would be very
difficult for myself to be without this device for any time and
Control Systems (without question) offered to send me a new card
(free) examine it, and that if performance improved to simply
keep the new card and return the old one. Not only did they ship
me the card, but they called to get my system's configuration and
set all the dip switches in advance and "burned it" the new unit
a second time before they shipped it. This unit was in use for
almost six months by this time.

I felt that this was service above and beyond what any
manufactuer need supply and that because of this that Control
Systems deserves an applause.
