Recently a message about problems with Tandy XENIX flow control was posted. An attempt to send a message to the poster has vanished (along with the original posting); the following is the original question and the response from Someone Who Knows: --------Original Message-------------------------------------------- >I just bought an EverCom 2400 baud modem and I'm having a problem I never >had a chance to have before. With TANDEM mode set, if an overflow of the >raw clist is about to occur, a STOPC character is sent. > >Well, STOPC is set to ^S, but the machine transmits `"' instead (or something >similiarly not like ^S). Is this a Version 7 bug, or a Xenix bug, or just >particular to Tandy boxes? I'd hate to have to hack the kernel to fix it, >but I'd appreciate any input about where the bug is. BTW - I've tried >different Xenix kernels and they seem to have the same problem. > -------------------Answer------------------------------------------------- Never heard of it, With a tektronix 430 rs232 protcal analyser I can show that ^S's and ^Q's are being sent properly.. Suspect his tty struct is not being set up properly...
